Yes, comfortably. Half a day.
Ship excursions go to the Upper falls, usually bundled with Perge, Aspendos and the old town. Going independently, allow three to four hours door to door.
Which one the tours visit
The Upper falls, almost always. It is the one with the park, the cave path and a coach car park, and it fits a group itinerary. The lower falls rarely appear on ship excursions even though they are the one that runs all year.
If you are here in July or August and the volume matters to you, that is worth knowing before you book the ship's tour. Why.
A half day on your own
| Clock | What |
|---|---|
| +0:00 | Off the ship, taxi from the port gate |
| +0:30 | Upper falls, park and cave path |
| +1:30 | Taxi back towards the city |
| +2:00 | Kaleiçi old town, harbour, coffee |
| +3:30 | Back on board with margin |
Timings are indicative and assume a taxi both ways. Check your ship's all aboard time and leave more margin than you think you need.
Swapping the falls for the sea view
There is a version of this day that most excursions do not offer: take a boat trip from Kaleiçi harbour that passes under the lower falls. You get the waterfall, the coastline and the old harbour in one movement, and you are back near the port. It costs around 25 euro and takes about an hour on the water.
